From Sedbergh A683 (12 miles): follow the A683 from Sedbergh towards Kirkby Stephen. After crossing an unfenced common, turn left at the Fat Lamb Inn. Follow the road through Ravenstonedale, turning left at the Black Swan Hotel. Bear right at the school. Turn left at the T-junction.
