Amazing places to visit in Great Britain

After a taxing and exhausting couple of weeks for all of us Brits across the United Kingdom (I say ‘United’ lightly at this moment in time), we are each recovering from the EU Referendum results in our own way. Some are absolutely delighted, whilst others are distraught by the decision. We have been left divided in our opinions – in or out, leave or stay, innies and outies, you get the picture; two options, one result.

We, Head Outside, do not wish to discuss the results any further, as we’re mostly concerned with only one thing, camping of course. As long as this vote doesn’t affect our camping rights, then we’re not too worried. We believe that together, we can get through anything.

Amazing places, quality camping

With so many amazing locations across the Great Britain, it can only mean one thing – fantastic potential for avid campers travelling the nation. When you’re searching for the best campsites across the UK, you can revert back to this blog post, to see some of the most iconic locations to go to in our beautiful country. Not only can you revert back to this post, but you can also utilise our online campsite directory to find the nearest campsites in various locations across the nation. Although there are such beautiful locations across Great Britain, we cannot unfortunately pitch up a tent in the middle of London – which undoubtedly is an amazing place to visit in Great Britain. You could potentially camp in London, but we wouldn’t personally advise it; unless it is one of our recommended and camping friendly sites – not on the streets.

The best places to visit in Great Britain – for campers and non-campers
The biggest and best destinations in the United Kingdom are considered to be London (which we've already mentioned), Edinburgh, Bath, York, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, Oxford, Glasgow, Belfast, Windsor, Cambridge, Brighton, Dover, New Forest, Inverness, Loch Ness, Skye, Peak District and Portsmouth to name JUST a few of the most iconic places to visit in the United Kingdom.

Some of the best places to visit in Great Britain for campers
Booking a campsite in the UK has never been so simple, especially when you have our online campsite booking service. Not only do we offer you a list of thousands of campsites across Great Britain, but we recommend a variety of the best campsites in our country all in once place; allowing you to choose cheap campsites in the UK, to certain campsites that allow pets. Below, we’ll pick out some of our favourite places across Great Britain; from Scotland right down to the South of England.

Trusted campsites in Scotland
We've camped across the UK and we're extremely proud of our relationship and experience with various camping sites in Scotland. Some of our trusted campsites include Aden Caravan Park, Ballater Caravan & Camping Site and Nydie Caravan and Camping Site to name a few. For this post, our main campsite in Scotland will be Ballater Caravan & Camping Site.

The Ballater Caravan & Camping is a great location for family camping trips for all times of the year. It's a large site with disabled facilities, free wifi, launderette, showers, toilets, washing up area, charging facilities and gas cylinders available. The recommended and popular nearby leisure activities include climbing, cycling, fishing, golf, mountain bike riding and tennis.

Quality campsites in Northern Ireland
We have many trusted and quality campsites across Northern Ireland (63 and still rising), and one of our favourite campsites is the Causeway Coast Holiday Park. It’s the perfect campsite for families and couples, and those of you who want to experience the natural beauty of Northern Ireland. It’s a fantastic location to discover new adventures; whether you’re walking, climbing or cycling across the country.

Beautiful Camping in the South East of England
There are many beautiful camping sites across the South East of England, including London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex. One of our favourite campsites in the South East of England is the Beech Estate Woodland Campsite in Battle, East Sussex.

Beech Estate Woodland Campsite is an off-grid camping and glamping site in East Sussex that allows campfires. It's an exciting Eco Camp; in fact, it's the UK's second eco & woodland campsite. This campsite is the perfect location for campers who simply love exploring woodlands. For woodland walks, jogs, cycling and adventures look no further. You can get back into nature and see all there is to see in East Sussex; including the South Downs.
